If you want to race offroad the closest racing is at Thornhill in Hutto. They have a truly world class facility! Largest offroad track in the US *and* an extremely nice, smaller indoor track right next to it!

I didn't think that track was open to the public and was only open for races?

(for offroad) What side of town are you on? If your South Austin then RCHQ in San Antonio is about a 45-60 minute drive. If you are north or close to round rock there is 439 out in Belton by Kileen. Takes me just short of an hour to get to from Leander. Drive times are like living in a larger city like Houston where it take an hour to get anywhere. So if you LOVE racing and are willing to drive a bit you do have options.

(didnt mention Thornhill since it was already discussed, even though its not always open,,, go when you can)

Big track very limited dates. Closed most of the time.

Small track races every other weekend. Indoors! No weather delays!
