Tanks Paintball/Katy is closing

Just got word that Tanks's Paintball- Katy is closing. KatyRC would have had the same fate even if they kept the doors open.

Sad this hobby has dropped in numbers so drastically....Dam you online sales and video games...lol. I remember Traveling to Austin on Friday nights and racing at Castle RC and there be at least 90-100 racers then turn around and race at my track in Waco with another 90 to 100 racers. Not to mention I think at one time Houston had like 6 to 8 very active tracks.
I wish I knew what it would take to bring it back to at least 50% of what it was back in the late 80's and early 90's.
So many great memories of dad's and their sons showing up to race..... by the way props to the young man and his dad I met last night at Mikes...I have to get better at names...lol but yeah we need a lot more of that.

Wow I'm surprised, it's been open about 10 years now, very unfortunate. It's going to be tough to find a nice parcel of land like that right in the city. Thanks again Ty & Willy for the help on Saturday, really looking forward to getting back out there and trying new things. You know the RC hobbyshop in Stafford has good potential, I just wish the timing system wasn't defective.
