I'll run either one. We have a few guys with 17.5 but like Cristian stated 13.5 tends to run more. If you are new to 12th scale racing I'd say 17.5. I'll race with you and we have a few other new guys with 17.5. The guys running 13.5 have been running this class for quite a while and pretty hard to compete against. Best thing though would be to have a motor for both classes if you can swing it.

Last Tuesday was surprising to me. So I hope so too. Myself and John will be there as well as Richard and Joe. That's 4. Then the other regulars will also be there I'm sure. We had a few 3-4 out of towners and a few new faces that seemed to have the best time of there lives. I hope we see them back too.

We run 13.5 more often, but would like to eventually get enough for a 17.5 class as well.
We mostly run green rear blue fronts. (Bsr)

I am attempting to get back into racing, specifically the VTA class. I will be in Houston for a meeting Tuesday February the 16th to the 17th, so I would love to come buy and practice on the track that Tuesday night. Are you guys still doing the racing class on Tuesday nights? I have forgotten so much and need some knowledge.
Tuesday nights are open track nights. We race on thursday nights and sunday afternoons. Should still come on out to drive your car, hangout, and check the place out!

I have aspirations to do the 2016 Texas EOS series in VTA and USGT. I raced those classes a little bit when I lived in Austin in 2012-2013.
Do you have any suggestions for a beginner wanting to compete in the EOS series? are those appropriate classes you think?
They are only a great choice if the track you intend to race at has them in the program. If they do, then heck yes they are. Otherwise a 17.5 TC is a safe bet.
